About us
I started Cottonwood Ranch in 2006, naming it after the beautiful stand of cottonwood trees that sits at the heart of my land. As a single mom, I moved here with a dream—to raise my kids on a farm where they could grow up surrounded by animals, fresh air, and the kind of life that teaches you the value of hard work, patience, and care.
My lifelong passion has always been horses. I raise AQHA and grade Quarter Horses with a focus on good minds, solid builds, and the kind of versatility that makes them a great fit for both work and family life. Over time, my farm naturally expanded to include Nubian and Boer-cross goats for milk, and chickens for fresh eggs. The ducks came along too and made themselves right at home.
A third of the farm is covered in natural forest, and I truly love living in this clean, quiet space. In the spring, I forage for morels and enjoy the wildflowers and native plants that grow all over the land. I also grow vegetables, enjoy the rhythm of farm life, and take pride in the animals I raise.
Now that my kids are grown, I continue to run the ranch on my own—selling colts and goat kids to folks who appreciate healthy, well-cared-for animals. This life isn’t always easy, but it’s honest, grounding, and full of purpose. Cottonwood Ranch is more than a farm—it’s home.
